A Conscientious Concert

The final event taking place in Bristol Cathedral, alongside the Refusing To Kill exhibition is A Conscientious Concert – the music of Frank Merrick, World War 1 Conscientious Objector on Tuesday January 2nd 2018.

Frank is featured in the Refusing to Kill exhibition*. He was a noted pianist and composer, and professor at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Well-known local pianist Steven Kings will give two performances of Frank’s music (the same pieces at each performance) – at 1.15pm and 3.30pm. The exhibition will be open before each performance.

*The exhibition ends in Bristol Cathedral on January 8th. From January 9th to February 2nd the exhibition will transfer to Bristol Central Library, next door to the Cathedral. Later next year it will be shown at Bristol Record Office. Encourage your friends to come and see it.
