Redland Meeting and Coronavirus

October 2020

Dear Friends

In this extraordinary time of coronavirus, and taking on board available government advice, your clerks and conveners of Elders with Oversight decided in March that we should cease to hold Meetings for Worship at Redland Meeting House until further notice.  This was to give as much protection as we could to all individuals.

Since then, we have held regular online Meetings for Worship, as well as online Meetings for Business, Meetings for Learning and even Sharing Lunches. We are also working towards a time when we may be able to open the Meeting House in a COVID-safe way to hold Meetings for Worship there, perhaps blended with online worship at the same time.

In this time of the pandemic, Friends are urged to keep in touch and support one another via telephone, text and email and through the Sharing Circles. We hope that during this difficult period all Friends will look out for one another, consider their own needs, and give as much help as is humanly possible within a net of safety.

In Friendship

Michael Tuckwell (convener of Redland EWOs)

Julia Bush (clerk of Redland Meeting)
